Email is a powerful tool that can be used to better serve your customers.
However, there are a handful of individuals or organisations that abuse
this tool and send out unsolicited email to a list they purchase or email
addresses they harvest from the internet. HostFinders will not tolerate any
customer using our servers to 'spam'.
Spam is commercial email or unsolicited bulk email,
including junk mail, which has not been requested by
the recipient. Spam is the opposite of permission-based email or opt-in email.
HostFinders is committed to permission-based email marketing practices and any user
who violates this policy shall have their account terminated.
If you have email that you suspect is spam, examine your full message headers to
determine where the message really came from. The "From:" header that is commonly
shown in basic message header displays can be easily faked.
It is harder to fake the complete message header, which can provide useful
information about the message.
When you report any abuse to us please make sure that you forward the message with
full 'Message Header' so we can determine where the message came from.
- You may not use our servers to send unsolicited email.
- You may not use scripts that run in the background as scheduled jobs to send out
email to your mailing lists. This task must be performed by logging into the any
admin section of your website and sending out emails.
-
You must not share your email password with other people.
You will be responsible for the unauthorised use of your email address.
